With the Cromos Fashion Awards ", the Cromos magazine
wants to recognize the great effort of creativity and work
of hundred of Colombians that have made of this industry a
new alternative for Colombia.
For 87 years the Cromos magazine have followed step by step the reality
of the country. The dreams, the illusions, the sadness, the achievements,
the failures, always looking for the beautiful side of the life,
of our people, of our wives. They are 86 years of images that weekly
since 1916 show us what happens in the world and in our country.
Fashion, beauty, show, designs and catwalks, with their daring changes
or conservative styles along the years, of the decades.
After these 87 years of being witness of the events, this year we
want to participate rewarding the best: the designer, the model or
the pattern of the year, the young talent, the revelation model,
the best catwalk and of course we will award a prize to the life
and a great designer's work, company or person that have enlarged
the fashion topic in Colombia.
The winners will be chosen by a compound panel of three people of
big qualities. Designer Eulalia Piedrahita, the producer Marea de
Casas and the Art curator Alberto Sierra. The three will judge in
Colombiamoda, Quality, Beauty and Fashion, the great November catwalk
of Barranquilla, Colombiatex and the Bogotá Fashion, the main
events in fashion of the country. After attending these five contests
they will deliberate to grant the six statuettes.
Each statuette is sculptor Hugo Zapata's unique piece, elaborated
in stone with quartz and metal elements. A work carried out especially
for the Cromos Fashion Awards and that the artist has denominated
witness. Yes, witness of the great show of the Colombian fashion.
The release of the prizes will be made on Wednesday 13 of August
at 10:00 pm in the Metropolitan Theater of Medellin with transmission
in direct from the Canal Caracol. To the stage only a few will go:
the best in Colombia.
