Araújo deported yesterday

Yesterday, former Colombian Minister, Alvaro Araújo, was handed over to Colombia by Venezuelan authorities who captured him last Thursday.

After arriving at the San Antonio del Táchira Airport, from Maiquetía, Araújo was taken to the "Simón Bolívar" International Bridge which communicates the two countries.

There he was met by DAS agents waiting to take him to Cúcuta, then Bogotá. Interpol had issued a red notice for Araújo, who was captured holding false documents.
