The banks of the country requested from the Government an immediate decrease in public expenditure to lower the pressure in the economy, in order to reduce the deficit fiscal.
The statement was made in Cartagena, were the guild is having their annual convention. Roberto Brigard Holguín, President of the Board of Directors of Asobancaria, said that the adjustment of 10 billion pesos announced for next year's budget is welcome.
Brigard uttered that the inflationary sprouts are extremely high not only in food but also because of the international situation and the Government's expenditure.
