The possibility of adding a new regulation to the "pico y placa" measure has all the public transporters upset.
The Mayor of Medellin, Alonso Salazar, is analyzing the possibility of implementing a "pico y placa" measure for buses similar to the measure that currently exists for cars.
The "Corporación de Transportadores Urbanos" (Corporation of Urban Transporters) was the first to reject the new proposal. They argue that public transportation is an industry of huge investments and that this will affect directly the economy of the users.
