President Alvaro Uribe Velez requested the support of Mexican counterpart, Felipe Calderon, in getting the United States to approve the Free Trade Agreement with Colombia.
In a press conference given before the meeting between the two presidents, Uribe announced that the treaty known as G-3 will be revised, and adjusted to fit the models of both countries as well as the new international economic scenario.
The G-3 is currently made up by Colombia and Mexico, as Venezuela announced its withdrawal.
The previous day, Uribe had announced that he would continue to seek the approval by the United States Congress.
"We will keep insisting, with patience and with urgency, to see how the United States might approve the Free Trade Agreement".
