Representatives of 34 countries of the Americas gathered in Mexico to discuss issues related to drug- trafficking and crime in the First Inter-American Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Public Security.
According to the Organization of American States, in Latin America crime is an "epidemic" even worse than AIDS and more dangerous than the current financial crisis.
