Monsignor Rubén Salazar was elected yesterday as the new president of the Episcopal Conference of Colombia.
He will replace Monsignor Luis Augusto Castro, who has lead the episcopate for three years.
Monsignor Salazar, currently Archbishop of Barranquilla, obtained 69 votes in favor.
