Paula Andrea Bermúdez Medina is the first Colombian table tennis player ever to go to the Olympics.
19-year-old Paula Andrea is also one of the first Colombian participants that arrived to China, even though the tournament does not start until August.
She is currently training in Hebei, a municipality four hours away from Beijing.
When she was 17 she lived for about 8 months in Sweden, training for the eliminatory round to classify to the Olympics and to fight for the title.
